Frakkin' A, eh?

Well, it's no dice on the regular posting thing.  How long will it be before I completely forget about this blog?

Currently engrossed in more Xbox games such as Borderlands, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and Red Dead Redemption (which I finished).

Question:  If you were given a choice to live within a normal life expectancy or become immortal, which would you choose?

What the french toast?

To be honest, I forgot about this blog I started. It's been over a year since my last post. Been on/off FB, YouTube, etc. Haven't been roleplaying in a more than a year but, word on the street is that we may be restarting. Mutant Future is the system...will see how it goes.

I've been immersed in the XBox since the beginning of the year. Forza Motorsports3 primarily with some CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and Left4Dead2 mixed in. Preparing to start racing in the FM3 IFCA ALMS this Saturday. Will be using the Flying Lizard #45 Porsche Gt3 RSR. Don't expect to do too well...will be missing at least one race for vacation.

Vacationing at Busch Gardens this year. Tickets are good for the entire year so we'll definitely be making it back there later on.

Discovered Neko Case recently and have been recommending her to friends! Her voice is amazing!

Well, back to work. Maybe I'll repost again later this year :)

Facebook...finally.

Lots to blog about but not much time or inclination the past 3 months.

I've finally given in to Facebook which has proven to be more interesting than not.  The ability to reconnect with old friends, primarily from high school, that you've lost contact with is amazing.  I like that you can quickly catch up on what everyone is doing each day.

I find the interface very confusing.  I never know where my comments will end up...on a profile, a wall, a news feed, all of these.  Sometimes I see a comment from someone and then can't figure out where it went later.  I consider myself to be fairly savvy when it comes to software but FB seems very jumbled.  I've been at it for a couple of weeks and it's getting a little easier.  Hopefully I have a breakthrough moment soon.

All for now.  l8r.

Another Halloween Vid

Below is a musical video montage of our Halloween season.

Enjoy!

Halloween Hootenanny

A little late to post this but a few months back, my ex-neighbor, Tom decided to have a Halloween party at his place. I provided some imagination in terms of setting the scene and Tom brought the vision to life. The party was a huge success and, hopefully, the first of many.

Enjoy the low res video below...

Activity Update

The Fall TV season is here and we're trying out "Fringe" and "Life on Mars". I'm not sure how long I can watch this much television...something must give (CSI, Heroes, House, Medium, Pushing Daisies, AOTS, Metalocalypse, ATHF...)

A picked up a library book a few weeks back: "The Revolution" by Ron Paul and finished it recently. I had never heard of Ron Paul and I'm not sure why I picked up this book but I'm amazed at how much of the book aligns with my thinking. Read Dr. Paul's views in the book and see if any of it speaks to you. I'm currently reading "House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski (a book that I started 8 years ago!) and, at the urging of a colleague, "The Communist Manifesto" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

Also...!
After several months without D&D, we've started back up! Gone is Oblivion from the 4th edition; we're now immersed in Hackmaster (a derivative of 1st edition D&D) and I'm playing Kikkoman the Stout and Joyous (a Dwarvish Berserker)! His comrades are Trebelos (the young, meek, fearful wizard), Gunnar (the brash fighter), August Moon (the gender bending pixie-fairy rogue), and Libertine (a cleric that I don't know much about). I will post updates soon.

Who U Votin' For?

Who will be getting your vote?

I often answer this question (jokingly) with "I will vote for whomever Brian Williams and Charles Gibson tell me". This flip comment has me thinking...just as some folks may vote based on candidate personality or appearance, perhaps some vote based on the major network news party leanings?

Let's assume for a moment, this is a possibility. Does this mean that the network with the highest ratings influences more voters than other networks? Does this mean that because American Idol rules the ratings, that Fox News will sway voters one way or the other? Does Charlie Gibson influence the vote because Dancing with the Stars is a hit?

Interesting thought. Too bad I only watch The Cartoon Network. :)
