The excellent 'Attack of the Show' on G4 reported that the Apple iPhone makes periodic calls back 'home' to Apple. This is reportedly to protect users by ensuring that no malware has been installed on the device. Sounds insidious to me.
It appears that Apple may have become the very thing they sought to destroy back in 1984. Remember this?
